Sasha DiGiulian

Rock Climbing

Sasha DiGiulian is a world champion rock climber, entrepreneur, author, environmental advocate and graduate of Columbia University. Widely recognized as one of the world's most accomplished climbers, she has completed more than 30 first female ascents around the globe, including becoming the first woman to free climb El Capitan's longest route.

A longtime supporter of Right To Play, Sasha has attended numerous events, amplified the organization's campaigns, and generously lends her voice to help inspire others to create opportunities for children through play. "Facilitating children's ability to learn and grow positively through sports and play—having fun and connecting with others—is so fundamental to children's lives. That's why Right To Play means so much to me," she says.

In 2023, Sasha released her memoir, Take the Lead, a candid account of navigating elite sport, the pressures of social media, and some of the most challenging climbs of her career. That same year, her Red Bull Media House-produced documentary, Here to Climb, premiered on HBO Max, bringing her remarkable journey to audiences around the world.
